About the lessons
It's handy having guitar lessons at home but if you need peace and quiet I have a small studio available.
As well as one-to-one teaching I'm happy to cater for groups too, lots of fun and keeps the cost down.
One hour sessions are usually enough for most people (you can have longer if you like) but half-hour lessons are popular.
I teach a range of styles with the option to learn music notation, harmony and theory – invaluable skills.
Naturally, beginners are welcome but perhaps you've been playing for a while and would like to branch out – ragtime? jazz? – or maybe you just want to finally nail down that riff that’s been eluding you for forever - one half-hour lesson could be all you'd need to get it sorted.
I've got recording facilities at my studio; so, if you like, I can e-mail recordings and sheet music to practise along with.
I always encourage budding players to send their favourite tracks for me to arrange, score and record; the guitar can be a tough nut to crack so you need to be learning what turns you on.
I also teach English as a Second Language (ESL), so if English isn't your first language you'll be improving that while you're learning to play!
